Another of the schools we support with school lunc Another of the schools we support with school lunches. This is so important for healthy growth and to help maintain concentration.

This little girl is doing well and has begun to sm This little girl is doing well and has begun to smile. She is now 4 months old and has been diagnosed with ‘Downs’s syndrome’. She has weekly occupational therapy and we make sure she gets basked in the morning sun so as to get vitamin D.  Close monitoring is also done to make sure she doesn’t develop any health issues.
Siblings supported by KCC. The brother is in year Siblings supported by KCC. The brother is in year 5 and his teacher reports he is doing so well in exams and skills work. The sister is now at class eight and her class teacher she was so positive about her, since she has greatly improved. She will be sitting for her national examination in December 2022.

We recently hosted a Leadership Day for those on t We recently hosted a Leadership Day for those on the Women Leaders Programme. It had sessions on Career Skills, Business Skills and Becoming a Mentor. The participants particularly enjoyed playing a business game and all the teams made a profit.

We weigh, measure and assess each child every two months and the data shows how their health, physical development, school attendance and academic performance improves dramatically as a result. It is a fantastic return on an investment of just 20p.

Food is the most critical need and makes the bigge Food is the most critical need and makes the biggest impact on children’s lives. We need to raise funds to continue and, if possible, expand our feeding centres. We have eight at present feeding almost 1,000 destitute children every day. It costs us £5,000 to staff and supply one of our centres for a year. That’s just 20p per child per day to provide the only meal they will receive.

This child has been in the baby unit for 2 years. This child has been in the baby unit for 2 years. Previously he was malnourished but has improved a great deal and has been attending Occupational Therapy clinic since 2021. It has helped him to get stronger and is now able to stand while supporting himself.
