🎓 Success for a special graduate
On 17 July, one of the 20 women in our leadership programme graduated from Kenyatta University with a BA Honours degree in Special Needs Education.
She has overcome a tough childhood and tragic events most of us can barely imagine. Through it all, she kept going, and now she holds a degree that will let her change lives in the special needs education sector.
This is what's possible when someone is given the chance to invest in themselves.
We are so proud of her, and so proud of everything she represents for the other women in our programme still on their own journeys.

A school uniform shouldn't be the reason a child doesn't get to go to school.
But for many vulnerable children in Kenya, it's a daily reality.
A uniform they can't afford stands between them and an education.
This autumn, 8 Team KCC runners are taking on the world's biggest marathons to change that: 🏃

They're already around 75% of the way to their fundraising targets, and we'll be sharing their stories over the coming months.
The money they raise funds a new uniform initiative: our own tailors producing uniforms for disadvantaged children, while unemployed adults gain tailoring skills to earn a living and support their own families.
