Feeding Programme Case Study - Annah
Annah lives with her single mother and three siblings. They live in a simple rented hut that costs £5 per month, which their mother struggles to pay because she can only get occasional casual work on farms. Annah came to our Kithiriti feeding centre because her mother could not afford to provide a daily meal. Annah and her siblings have benefited greatly from their hot daily meal. Their health, attendance and performance in school have improved dramatically.

Annah in particular did well academically, but her mother was not in a position to pay the fees necessary to attend high school. So KCC stepped in and offered her an education scholarship. This November, Annah is sitting for her final exams after four years in high school and we hope she will do well and get to university. She and her siblings have a bright future and a high chance of being self-sufficient adults.
